Deidre Helberg is used to taking chances, leveraging big ideas and helping others along the way. As a fourth-generation entrepreneur, Deidre’s tenacity, resilience and skill not only motivates her own success but enables her to support the greater community. She believes in the power of family – Deidre spends her days running Helberg Electrical Supply with her husband, Steven, an electrician by trade and their college-educated daughter, Sierra. She also trusts in herself. Deidre had to continuously adapt and adjust to an industry that wasn’t used to seeing someone like her in the room. Today, Deidre uses that foundation, flexibility and trailblazing mindset to not only advocate for diversity in her sector but black women business owners as well.

Helberg Electrical Supply provides quality specialty electrical and energy efficient supplies and material to private and public sector organizations through personalized customer service, timely delivery guided by relationships, and a level of support that only a strong, family-owned business can bring. Established in 2003, Helberg Electrical Supply's core focus is on Smart Grid power and solutions from the industries’ best manufacturers. Currently Helberg Electrical Supply has been selected to participate in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Access Network program. Deidre alone was selected out of all the participants to be featured by EY in their "who's putting the "new" in New York City" Campaign.
